Our awesome fundraiser called “Pennies for Patients” starts now and lasts until Jan 31st.
HOSA has partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to raise awareness about blood cancer and several ways to help those in need!!
It’s an effort focused on collecting donations which will directly help save lives affected by Leukemia & Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, and Myeloma, which are different types of blood cancers. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) = most common type of blood cancer.
HOW STUDENTS / TEACHERS DONATE:
– $1 = 1 halfcourt shot (Jan 19th vs Pelham area home varsity boys game); *winner receives prize(s) = $100 value
– $5 = 2 halfcourt shots and sign the “blood drop” paper icon for “Wall of Hope” in the cafeteria to celebrate those who have survived and honor those who have lost their battle. *GOAL IS TO COVER THE ENTIRE PORTION OF THE WALL OF HOPE 🙂
– $10 = 3 halfcourt shots and Hat/Sweatpants Day and sign the “blood drop” paper icon for “Wall of Hope”
– $20 = Teachers can wear jeans in March, sign the “blood drop” paper icon for “Wall of Hope,” *Note: you may also sign up to shoot (3) for prizes.
WHERE TO DONATE:
– See a HOSA member TODAY in B-Hall, cafeteria, sports med room, or see Ms. G or Coach Shields.
– Does NOT have to be pennies/change; cash and checks acceptable also.
– ALL donations will go directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
